It has been several months since I last touched coding. I was too focused on school and was dragged away by the crazy amount of school work and other extracurricular activities. At this point, my HTML, CSS, and Javascript have all nearly worn off. The concepts became unfamiliar and confusing to me, and it was frustrating to see what I worked so hard for all down the drain.
But this did not stop me from giving up. Although it was a setback, I was more determined than ever to get back on track. So I became serious with my self-study and attended a front-end development course. Coding became an every-day task. I indulged in every lesson, making notes and reviewing them after. I would find myself watching the lessons for hours and hours non-stop and thoroughly enjoying it. From time to time, I would get stuck on a problem, but I kept and kept trying until I found out the solutions and learnt from them. The process took hours, but it was all worth it in the end.
Eventually, not only did I get all my knowledge back, I even acquired so much more coding skills. And most importantly, my love for programming came back. I was eager to open up my computer and learn coding every day. I was diving deeper and deeper into the computer science world, and I was enjoying every second of it. After finishing my course, I wanted to build something to practice my skills, and I decided to build a blog, Code Her Way. This was a challenging process, but a valuable one.
