“Technology is for men only.”
“Women belong in the kitchen.”
“Girls are too weak for tech!”
In the field of STEM women have faced challenges and stereotypes both within and outside the technology industry. They often find themselves undervalued and underpaid due to gender differences. These difficulties have discouraged girls from pursuing careers in technology.
Unfortunately the fear of judgment and disrespect has prevented these girls from exploring their passions and interests. Witnessing the struggles that women face I am driven to break these stereotypes and raise awareness about women in STEM fields Computer Science. My aim is to ensure that they are treated equally and respected in their workplaces.
To address these issues I created Code Her Way—a blog with a mission to empower girls from all backgrounds to pursue coding as their passion. This blog will provide coding resources and information while also offering support and encouragement through every post. No longer will those on the programming journey feel alone: they will have a community cheering them on every step of the way.
Code Her Way aims to be a friend offering programming knowledge and emotional encouragement to coders.
The blog covers a range of topics including featuring women in the tech industry explaining basic concepts for beginners and providing resources for various areas of Computer Science. Through this blog my goal is to reach an audience and help them shift their perspectives on groups in the technology field.
Whether you're a girl starting out in coding or someone interested in STEM as a whole this blog can inspire you. Propel you forward on your journey. You'll have the opportunity to learn extensively about the subject matter.
Code Her Way goes beyond being another blog about coders: it acts as a companion for women in STEM who want to shatter obstacles and excel in their respective fields. It recognizes the importance of empowering women within this male driven industry. Code Her Way strives to create an environment where women can confidently pursue their passion with comfort. So if you're ready to make a difference join me on this adventure!
